Cohesion in times of disruption

On 9 October 2025, WESOREL member Nhat An Trinh presented project research at the annual conference of the Research Institute Social Cohesion (FGZ) in Leipzig. This year’s conference was held under the heading „Cohesion in times of disruption“ and gathered scholars from across the FGZ network and beyond to discuss how social cohesion is shaped, strained, and rearticulated in periods of accelerated economic, political, and ecological change.

Nhat An Trinh’s contribution placed the project’s perspective on wealth inequality and property conflicts in conversation with the conference’s broader thematic frame. The annual conference is one of the key venues in German cohesion research, and the exchange with colleagues working on related questions across multiple FGZ sites provided valuable input for the further development of the project.
