On 17 and 18 March 2026, the Volkswagen Foundation hosted the symposium „Perspectives on Wealth 2026“ at Herrenhausen Palace in Hannover, bringing together researchers from all projects funded under the foundation’s initiative Perspectives on Wealth. The symposium served as a platform to present and discuss preliminary findings, to explore ways of increasing the projects‘ visibility and impact, and to lay the ground for future collaborations across the funded projects.

WESOREL was represented by Fabian Pfeffer, Nhat An Trinh and Clara Löffler. Given the strong thematic overlaps between the funded projects, the programme emphasised substantive exchange over individual project profiles. Alongside two keynote lectures and panel discussions, interactive workshop formats invited participants to consider possibilities for joint publications and to reflect on shared experiences and challenges — particularly in light of the initiative’s transformative ambitions. A joint conference dinner and a poster session provided further space for informal exchange.
